The Evening Guests is a folk/rock band with a distinct, yet accessible sound fueled by Kevin Summer's honeyed trumpet, Alec De Kervor’s melody driven guitar solos, and the resonant sounds of Gerard Uht's keys. Jökull's lyrics strike a balance between personal and engaging, often taking fans through a widow's pain, or the joy of a lover at the end of the world.

Inspired by an affection for America, Jökull journeyed to the United States to study music, where he blended themes from classic inspirations, such as Bruce Springsteen and the Beatles, with modern bands, like The National and Frightened Rabbit, to hone what would become The Evening Guests’ signature sound. Almost immediately, other musicians connected to Jökull's sound and work ethic, banding together to become The Evening Guests of today.

Armed with his green card, apple pie, and a guitar, Jökull and The Evening Guests continue to perform across the country, following in the footsteps of Jónas Jónasson by bending ears wherever they travel.
